I can't see to run a server because it keeps saying "Recalibrated QPC Frequency". I already did a search and only found 1 topic, which gives an answer of which I've already done. (The other one wasn't answered -.-)
Here's what my config file looks like:
Code: Select all
-d
-dd
-ddd
-dddd
-a 50 38
-admsg "Test Server"
-autoTeam
-badwords /server/badwords.txt
-filterChat
-filterCallsigns
+f V{10}
-f bad
-sb
-j
-mp 0,5,5,5,5,1
-ms 20
-password "thisisapassword"
-poll vetoTime=60
-poll votePercentage=51
-poll votesRequired=3
-poll voteTime=30
-public "A test server, omgwtfbbq!"
-publicaddr 67.122.138.24:5154
+r
-spamtime 1
-spamwarn 2
-srvmsg "TEST SERVER."
-tkkr 30
Any suggestions?
(My firewall has port 5154 open. Do I need to open more?)

Have you tried an ultra-simple server that consisted only of this?

I just tried it. It still says the same thing. Do you want me to post everything it says?

Windows XP Professional.
Would the BZFS version be the same version as BZFlag?

Yes, it's the same.
For Windows the directory system uses backslashes (\), but that won't matter much since you already tried using the simple command I gave you.
Hmmm... maybe if you install the latest BZFlag? Maybe even a 2.0.5 beta version. (in releases and versions forum)

Oh, does the server run still? Or does it quit? As long as it keeps running it shouldn't matter...

It says "Connection rejected" or something like that and says "Recalibrated QPC Frequency". It doesn't even connect.

Hmmm... well, I would give the 2.0.5 a go. (unless that's the error it gives)

Something must be misconfigured on your firewall/router. It says (before the Recalibrated QPC frequency stuff):
Code: Select all
Got line: "MSG: ADD 67.122.138.24:5154 BZFS0026 003a0014000000000000000000001400
0000050005000500050001 A test server, omgwtfbbq!"
Got line: "<br />"
Got line: "<b>Warning</b>: fsockopen(): unable to connect to 67.122.138.24:5154
in <b>/var/www/bzfls.php</b> on line <b>579</b><br />"
Got line: "failed to connect: Connection refused"
Make sure port 5154 TCP/UDP is open and forwarded to your internal IP address if you use a router. Also make sure your Windows firewall allows 5154 TCP/UDP.

I thought I opened port 5154... should I just disable the firewall and see what happens?

Sure, just don't do it for long... (it is a big security risk)

the recalcuation is normal, it happens when we think the system timer gets out of sync. It hapens mostly on laptops but can happen on any system. there is nothing wrong with it. It is a window only thing.
if you can't conenct or have other server problems then it is probably your route, not the QPC message.

The Recalibration stuff is fine, don't worry about it. But if you can't join the server from the outside then that is another problem.

My server isn't in the server list. I suppose it has something to do with the connection being refused?
Does anybody know where I can find a port manager?
EDIT: NEVERMIND. IT WORKS. THANKS!

You're welcome. (of course, with some help from Jeff - props to him
