Yknow. I've been doing this for over a year. And last week I managed to screw up my router pretty badly, Take your time here, Mom.
If at all possible, you should move your router to the computer that will host the server. Then you can use 192.168.1.1 to access it. If you set a static IP, every computer on the network will need to be properly configured. Don't forget to ask yourdad.
