NR and high jitter

Post by Tanner »

Hi all,

I recently set up a server and when it gets 2+ people on it, players start going NR randomly and the jitter is 40+. How do I fix it?

That sounds like there's a major problem with your server. Either the server isn't sending out enough packets or it's not recieving enough. Have you tried to restart the server?

I've restarted it several times today while moving it across the room and changing keyboards. Shouldn't be a problem.

I remember when you got your new router that whenever you went into observer everyone would go NR (unless I'm confusing you with someone else). Possibly this is related...

Probaly not. Unless there is some vudoo uplink between my house and dad's office (which is a few miles away).

Did it always do this? Or did you just start trying to serve?

I think I fixed it. Had to allow port 5154 to allow tcp and udp.
