This is really messed up. I joined just fine, and it shows me joining rogue, so I shoot a green, and my color in the chat box is white, or observer. I shoot a red and turns out, I tk'ed him. I have no idea what happened or what's going on, in the mean time, someone "(UNKNOWN)" is talking to me for about 5 minutes now about a map.

I had a similar problem. I joined as a blue, it shows me joining rogue and I was a observer with purple team color.

how did u get the chat box and radar so big???

Options > GUI Options > Radar & Panel Size

I had a similar "What is going on here" moment. I joined rogue but i couldn't kill, or interact with any of the other tanks. I could drive around, watch people shoot each other, talk to people, but that was all. The strangest thing of all was that other people saw me as "NR". Any idea what was going on?

PlasticTank, your problem seems to be that UDP traffic to that BZFlag server is blocked, probably by a firewall, most likely on your computer or in your router at home.

Or just a random connection glitch.

Maybe you fired off a shot burst, some rico'd, and came through the cloud of KABOOM and shot you?
