and i don't know why... how do i run the client in debug modus to see why it does that ?

We need more information if you expect help. What operating system are you running? What version of the game?

If you're running Ubuntu 9.04 and have desktop effects turned on, disable the desktop effects and see if that helps. I know there is a bug with compiz or gnome-screensaver that causes the screensaver to activate while playing BZFlag (and other SDL games). If this isn't the issue, then again, we need more info.

thanks, i m using ubuntu, and just disabled the screensaver and now everything works perfect
