If you are playing on wireless?
What is your FPS?

Usually lag spikes are caused by something on your computer or a local system. Wireless is know to have the least consistent lag of any connection method.

It is probably not your ISP, or if it was there is nothing they or you can do about it from that end.

Then your lag is not caused by performance issues on your computer. It is your networking system in some way.

If they are on wireless plug them into the router.
If they are wired to the router, then you have to figure out why your router/network is going slow. This can be many reasons, high traffic, cheap ISP, router problems, viruses, etc...
The problem is not with the bzflag software so we can not help you fix your personal network. There are other places on the internet that are better suited for that.

No, Like I said it is NOT the game and it is not something we can tell you how to fix. You have to do the work and find out what is eating up your network connection.

If you are unable to do that then it would be best to ask an adult for help.
