Fiber, thanks for creating this forum. :) Now I don't have to worry about posting possible bugs for discussion on multiple forums.

Thanks!

As allways all confirmed bugs should go into the Sourceforge bugs database that's what it's for. Then it will get asigned and tracked.

Multiple posting is just anoying.

This is why this forum is a nice place to determine if bugs are actually a real bug and not someone's oversight or other oddness. Sourceforge.net is a terrible place to chat about this as its forums are limiting and functionality is blaaaahhhhh.

However, not all the developers look here. Its true that this forum has had more success in that area, but the SF bugs page is still the best way to get Riker's attention.

At SF we can do stuff like assign priorities (as if we payed attention to priorities ;)), attach files (demonstrations, patches), put them in categories, set status and resolution, etc. Developers can also join a mailing list so we get E-mail whenever something is changed, added, deleted, etc. It's the best way to get our attention.

And the above 2 reasons (CobraA1 and captain_proton), are why I put the little note in for the description of this forum -- only informal bug reports and stuff should be posted here.

If it's a real bug, please do be sure to post to the sourceforge site, as opposed to here. However, if it's just some weirdness, then post it here and perhaps someone can tell you if it's real or not (in which case they can direct you to sf.net.)

Peace

Yes, it it obvious from Fiber's description of the forum that this is just a place to chat about bugs or potential bugs. Obviously the bug tracking system on sourceforge is the official bug system to get developers' attention and help.

On the other hand, Tim Riker and Chris have been absolutely fabulous in returning e-mails. :) Thanks you two.
