Lag

Post by Graz-L » Wed Dec 21, 2005 6:24 pm

I have a problem with lag, everytime i connect to any server from all players, I have the biggest lag. I allways close all applications before starting bzflag, Im not downloading or uploading anything. And still is my lag about 800-1000 but at europian servers my lag is smaller, about 300, but its allways showing me warning, and kicking me. What could cause my lag, I really dont understand it. :(

Do you live in Europe (I pretty much know that by your description :) )? Do you have dial-up?

First off, you might have to play at European servers. The lag is horrible because all those signals have to travel across the Atlantic ocean... ;) Wi-Fi can also be unreliable. Try adjusting the antenna. (Between you and the antenna you can be losing packets) Is this in your home or at a public shop? Like coffee shops that give you wi-fi access... (if this is the case, the connection may be getting overloaded)
