I'm not a mac dude but I'm guessing you should probably mention which version of OS X you're running...

do you have a router and/or a firewall? disable both and see what happens

10.4.6 is out.
after trying to disable firewalls, upgrade and see if that helps.

your sure it's a G5 and not an intel CoreDuo? i think you need a special build for the intel macs... unless the new relese is a universal binary?

OR
You could get one of your parents to try disabling it because if they set it up they should know how to disable it.

We are not the Mac or Sonic Wall help line. Speak to them or your parents.
Your parents probably had the firewall installed for a reason and probably don't want you tampering with it anyway.

crashes macbook too

Post by spatialguru »

Been running bzflag for a while now with good success. Just today had it crash my mac os x ( v10.4.8 ) - macbook intel machine - twice! This was immediately on start up - with no pause or general consideration for the state of my nerves lately ;)

My version:
BZFlag client 2.0.8.20060812-MAINT-darwin8.7.1-SDL (protocol 0026)

For what it's worth...
