in game server error
when starting a server via the in game menu with a custom map, it starts but when u try to conect to it i get an error. this is only in windows i believe

Regarding starting servers, read everything you can at:

I've almost always started servers from the command prompt. The wiki will have a bunch of information on how to do that. When you try to join the server, what address and port are you specifying. You'll need to have 5154 as a port, and usually, people use "localhost" (without quotes) in the address field. I think that your computer's name will also work, as well as your local ip address. You can find your ip address by opening a command prompt and typing:
