A tele-porter that kicks you?

Post by Peter »

I was wondering if it where possible to create a tele-porter that would kick you from a map, my idea to do this is to create a tele-porter in the map area (the one that you would enter), and create one out-side the map area (the one that you would leave out of), so that if you went through them, it would kick you for being outside the playing area. Is this possible?

Is it a good idea for a trick tele-porter?
Or would it just be plain annoying?

...Dude, horrible idea.

Why would you WANT to be kicked from a map? Why not just put an invisible mesh in the same place as the teleporter that kills you?

I would seriously not go back to that map, if I was kicked off.

Try the map I've attached. One teleporter is outside the playing area, and you can only get halfway into the other teleporter. I don't think your idea will work.

Okay, I think it's a no to that idea then :) , thanks for your opinion anyway.
I suppose it was more of question than a plan. Thanks for making that map anyway Jefenry .

You could just try making a tele that links to another tele that's outside the map boundary. I'm not 100% sure it would work, though

yes, putting the second tele outside the world extents will kick a tank that goes through.
Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

Thinking is not an automatic process. A man can choose to think or to let his mind stagnate, or he can choose actively to turn against his intelligence, to evade his knowledge, to subvert his reason. If he refuses to think, he courts disaster: he cannot with impunity reject his means of perceiving reality.

They tried that, it doesn't allow you to go through the tele.
