ok, i just thought i would mention this, because, well, i was really impressed with many of the entries this time around. The last contest there were only two or three maps that had winner checked by them just by looking at them. This year, I went through all 14 and only one or two didnt have winner marked by them. Good job to all.

Now I have to find the two or three hours it is going to take me to narrow the field down to the winner...........................and even then, I think I will not be happy because several of the maps have excellent playability long term.

grumble, grumble.....................
.........you kids, get out of my tank...........

So when are you actually announcing the winners?

everyone is still in yet but it would ruin the suprise
if i were to say who is in the lead...plus i dont have all
the scores from all the judges yet so things could change....

Well, in a sense, it is. You can either download Apache (a web server like BZFS is a BZFlag server) and then run that. But you also have to make the page you want Apache to display. It gets complicated from that, opening up port 80, configuring everything right. I suggust if you want a website to be up 24/7 that you pay a company to host your site. They take care of everything for you. A good free host is www.freewebs.com and a good paid host is www.stayhosted.com .

it can be like running a server and a bit more invloved

BUT

it can also be fairly easy if you just want to put up a page for
your bzflag stuff and blogging

to teach you it might be hard to do that without sitting down beside you

BUT

i reccomend going over to one of the easiest ones on the net
and its FREE..its smaller then most but you could make a good bz
site there till you get some web design under your belt..then jump
to something big...

www.geocities.com
thats where i began 6 years ago
it has a real easy drag and drop webpage maker you could
have something going in a few minutes...really...

i think there is a HTML online tutor out there too
it teaches you simple webpage making in like 20 lessons
i took it while i was at boeing during my lunches and had
something up in no time...i cant rmemebr the name
but if you type in online html tutor you'll find a few..

I learn about that in class all the webpage commands but I have forgot about all that. Ill pay a visit there. K, there's my webpage the picture took forever to load so I ignored the "Please Be Patient" letters and exit it out. http://www.geocities.com/tanktuner/biyas_page.html

ok, i am down to counting up the points with one critical field left to fill in.

this is not easy. can you feel the tension building? :)

(i will take bribes.....no money, just food......preferably hot, spicy)

if this was one of those american idol programs, i would be sitting here with 8 final contestants.......madonna, springstein, connick jr, jo jo, metallica, skynrd, matchbox20, clint black.

all good in their own respects, but how to the heck to say which one is better than the others.

i need some more spiked cider.
