OK, both maps have been added to the rotation. Please log into hepcat.tybox.net:5157 to check that all settings are working the way you like (if not, please update the options block of your map)

Very cool maps, btw!

Oops, forgot world variables

Very sorry, forgot to add world variables to make the maps playable. I should read the rules a little more carefully  Can you, please, please change the maps currently running on contest with these?

I want to know how are the maps judged? By how many people come to the server or are they veiwed by hepcat members?

By vote of any registered forum users.

Originally, the contest was to be judged via a vote at http://hepcat.bzflag.org/forums/ , however there has been a great deal of activity at http://my.bzflag.org/bb/ on the topic of the contest. Would it be more appropriate to hold the vote at http://my.bzflag.org/bb/ rather than http://hepcat.bzflag.org/forums/ ?

I will tally votes of poll in this topic from both sites (the other is at http://hepcat.bzflag.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1228 ) to decide where to hold it. Keep in mind that because this vote is held in both places, people can "double-vote", and there isn't really anything that can be done to prevent this because it is at both places. That being said, feel free to vote twice!

How about both? If you go for one, something might go wrong and the other one will be active, and the whole thing will goof?

I really don't think my map can compare to that 2.0-worthy contest material.

Twin Peaks is now on the display server. Take a look.

Also, for the sake of ease of use, I've added the /shutdownServer command to all registered users so you can rotate them manually if you like. Please don't abuse it.

Uh... I did /shutdownserver expecting it to shutdown and come right back up with a new map, but I think I shut it down for good because I can't connect to it anymore.

I can connect fine. Since each map is downloaded before the server is started, it may take a second or two before it starts up.

Ducati I think you have enough maps already, okay? I mean really how long does it take you to make those huge complex maps??? As you can see by Reloaded ( My map ) im very impateient and I like to get stuff done faster. Why dont you just make some simple maps and spend the extra time you have by figureing out some 2.0 stuff and add them to the simple map? BTW I like the maps...

Ohh, now the server works. It was just that one time, it took a few minutes for the server to come back on. Everything ok!

OK, to keep this from getting out of hands, I'm updating the rules to limit each submitter to 3 submissions (that means no more than 3 maps!)

Good idea, I was going to suggest that :) of course...I helped add confusion :( sorry.

BIYA: I suppose I could work on 2.0 maps, I have, but I always make them simple.
