You have to make a server to play locally, no matter how you do it. There are configuration items that you must include to make it a "public" server. You are not putting those options in so you do not have to worry.Deathknight wrote:remeber i dun wanna make a server...just localhost

Even, if you want to play on localhost, you've to start a server on localhost. (Do you use one of the shortcuts in the program menu ?)
If you want to have /set permissions on your server, you've to add
to the shortcut. (right click on it, Properties)

if you are doing it that way, then you cant run the /set command.

It is not difficult to start a server from the command line though deathnight. And the instructions are above. No one but you or others on you local network will be able to play as it will not be on the public list. And you get to use /SET . You most likely already have the server software on your machine, if you use windows. It is included in the setup automatically.
