Is this place dead?

There seems to be no announcement in any of the development forums about 1.11.2 which I have just downloaded of the beta server. Is this place dead?

this place is far from dead, we just don't allways talk about dev here. Most develoment talk is done in IRC.

also the 1.11.xx versions have not been called beta yet, they are still raw development versions, use at your own rist.
