Google Chrome current players extension

Post by Gamma »

Hey all,

I thought I'd try to make a Google Chrome extension that shows the games current players.
This is an extension written to show the current online users for the game "BZFlag", their team, score, strength index, and the server their playing on.

If you use Chrome just visit the official page found here and click "Install"

Here's a screenie

Clicking on the icon brings up the list.. Clicking on it again, or outside of it, makes it close. It updates every 5 minutes because it uses the rss feed from the official stat site

This is just 1.0 so there is a lot of room for improvement

It should work on all operating systems that chrome is available on. As I said there is a lot of room for improvement so at the moment their is no option to customize.

It doesn't work for me.
I get this error:
The server at blueprintforums.us can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Chromium from accessing the network.

Same here.
OS X 10.5.8
Chrome 16.0.912.63

Apparently the domain name has expired.
But it's yours for $10.99/year. :-)

Well it was originally posted a year and a half ago... I had no doubt that it wouldn't work anymore. Chrome has advanced through at least 6 versions in that time.

Probably a good idea for everyone to remove this extension, then.

Sup people.

Sorry about that. I completely forgot about this. Haven't been on BZF in FOREVER.

The site I was hosting the main script on got sold so that's why it doesn't work.. If people really want this then I can update easy peasy ;)

Sold it, the new owners did whatever they did with it. Last I heard from them they were to busy irl to keep up with the forums.
