Well... honestly... I would say it looks like some 2d circles on a ridulously large blue background. Generally, a 3D look is achieved by shading, shadows on other objects, and size (reducing the farther it is away) to trick the eye into seeing depth where there is none.

'Public shared folder'? Is that SMB? I would highly recommend using HTTP instead, if that is what you are doing. Many web browsers don't support SMB, and it isn't the most secure thing in the world, either.
If your firewall blocks it, then it isn't public.

Those Superbullets look really good :) Are you trying to make them like the ones in game or your own style added to it?

Yea I agree. Macrosoft, yours looks good with the add of the black background. I can imagine it would be hard to see ingame.

These are just basic blender particles. No own style. They look that way and thats all. :)

Macrosoft: Good start. Try to add tanks.

Macrosoft, you can put those in BZFlag if you want. First make a scene with the bullet taking up the whole camera view. Then, set the render resolutions to be square. Then, set the render mode to RGBA, and the output format to PNG. Then you can use the resulting image to replace the one that comes with BZFlag.

here's a video of a few players on PETER's map
length: 4:00 min size: 57.2 MB format: quicktime(.mov)
(windows users will need quicktime to watch, find it at apple.com)

bzflag video

EDIT: bandwith limit is set to 4096 KB/sec... may take 1 - 2 minutes to download/cache

That link isn't working for me.

Don't mean to be rude or nothing but why would we want to watch a video of people on a map? Did you put it up just because it's PETER's map? Or is there something in the movie that's worth watching?

there's nothing special in it, just got bored and recorded it

Well, it's off-topic, pointless and broken. Nice.
