Nice! It would be great if hills could be driven on, like actually drive up and down not just jumping and landing like pyramids, but this is impressive nonetheless.

Very nice, now maybe if we could find a better textures for the hilles? And maybe place trees and rocks on them? Now that would be cool. Of course, the hills would be a wings paradise...

The Open Combat game will ahve the ability to drive on hills.

Probably the next version of BZFlag as well. They are both open source :P

bzflag will never have the ability to drive up hills. With out turret aiming it makes the game unplayable ( you end up unable to aim at people higher then you ). Adding turret motion screws up the input system, since you need more axes for input. This all makes the game much more complex. Then it is a tank sim, not a simple game of bzflag.

Yea, but think of the possibilities. There is no tank sim that has colored tanks and is fully networked. Maybe an offspring of the game????

anyone is more then welcome, and even encouraged to make a branch and add new features. This is the entire reason the game is open source :) It would just be a diferent game, and not be bzflag.

I did it with a terrain mesh generator. I wrote the terrain mesh generator in C++.

Good job. Get it hosted somewhere when it's finished. A few other people are working on C++ libraries for BZFlag maps, you could join them :D.
