interesting. he wasn't a close friend or anything, but i was thinking about milesapart yesterday. he has vanished indeed.. same for brennen. timpson texas is playing on badgerking's. i see him once a week or so. i'm wondering about grc. does anyone know him? he used to be a fellow admin and regular (very much a regular) on badgerking's, until about 2 months ago..

Hmm yes grc, he was a good bloke, but no I haven't seen him in a while either.

Like said earlier DeathDealer plays a fair a bit on the GU servers matching. I don't see him at all on any others.

Yes it seems some people vanish without a trace. i remeber a guy who played on Viper called Dew. he wasent a regular but he was quite a good friend. has anyone seen him?

But yea quite a few people have left. There are 2 topics I can remember that were similiar to this in that they listed players that are no longer with us.

I bet all of them changed name -_- without saying a word.
If you change name, at least you have say that you changed.
Nobody knows who you are.

Maybe some of those people had reasons to change their names, like a feud with another player or something. Maybe they wanted a fresh start and a clean slate (in the case of cheaters). There are so many relevant reasons....

I'm pretty sure I've seen DeathDealer around somewhere, probably on 1vs1, Ducati, GU, or Pillbox....

Some may just be busy, like I ran into a fellow, Acmex, I hadn't seen in months and thought had quit the game or something. Be patient, someone might show up.

P.S. have you tried PM-ing them? Even if they don't play anymore, there's still a chance they get e-mails upon the arrival of a PM.

I remember Dew but it has been at least a month and I haven't seen em.

Every few months I get "Torture2m says Hi" from various old bz buddies

This is the first time I have registered in BZFlag-But, I have been playing off/on for a few years. I used to have only 26.4Kbps dial-up speed, Now, I am running at 28.8 and I do not lag very often (If I do-I quit playing). I live in a remote area.....so, other speedy connections are not a option. If you see me ingame & I lag....Let me know (if I don't notice)-I will try playing later when my conn. is better. I really enjoy this game...Thx to all whom make it possible!!

Amazing that t2m should mention ATG: He was on saturday, dec 13 and played no less than 6 official matches, almost in succession. It was great to see him back with that same sense of humor ready to make you smile.

I hope that is a portend of things to come...ATG on a gu server for several hours....seems like its feast or famine. Give me the feast everytime!

It has been years and years since I have seen gerbil. I sort of imagine he, and the mighty Green M. are older coots like me.

wag, gerbil is around. i see him on badgerking's from time to time and other maps too. my all time favorite pwnee paxvobiscum seems to have quit though.

Yeah, I've really been missing Pax lately - I need somebody else I can smack down with some regularity.

As for Tex, I actually played against him for about half an hour or so on Badgerking's on christmas eve.

Gerbil was on not that long ago, too. Same server.

I'm pretty sure I saw grc not too long ago, on Missile Wars, maybe. Don't quote me on that, though.

ok, upping an ancient topic...i know i'm not the only one wondering about this. does anybody know what has happened to WHAMMO!? he used to be a regular on badgerking's (before that spiralzone) until he disappeared more than a year ago.. it was always fun to play against him.. and mess with him. ^^ i even owe my favorite exclamation of joy (suh wheat) to him... i hope he is ok and just quit the game for some reason. :-/
