Hmm, a straight 9 on Two Tanks and about a 7-8 on Missile War, others I hold my own.

To me, it strictly depends on the map. However over the years Ive gotten better. On Misslewars, -2000 but anywhere else 6+. Usually in positives score wise...

On big team servers, like MW, it depends a lot on the team. ie: if your team stays in the base, it's you versus 4 sniping lasers, 3 mean gmers, 2 hiding stealths, and 1 geno in the cen-ter.

A 7 sounds good, if most people I play in GU are 8 and 9s, most average people are 5-6, and it's on a log10 scale.

I'd have to say on a good day on ducati I'm maybe 7-8 but usually 5-6 everywhere else

It depends on which map. On missle wars or castle wars i would say a 8-9 maybe. But on gu or ducati, which i am still learning, probably a 4-5.

I would rate myself between 6 and 7 on maps like Castle Wars. And a 3 on Hix.

I wonder if all the people who play exclusively on GU and Ducati are really also that good at other servers. It seems like their mad skills at dodging and rico would be just as effective other places. But those maps are a lot less chaotic than others... so even if someone is marginally better, that skill might show more. So in light of all that, I'd give myself a 7-8. I'm definitely significantly above average, but still can't touch the true greats :P.

As per my skill, I am somewhere in the negatives, but people rave about my in-game commentary. 8)

ummm... a -10 lol
but like someone said once: "Don't be upset about your negative score. Be proud that it's not a whole lot more negative!"

I would probably say about a 3. I rarely get out of negative scores (how far negative depends on if I'm having a good day or not). On CTF servers with few players and Wings or Stealth, I grab the team flag about as much as everyone else on my team put together though. And I'm definitely improving.

hmm on two tanks I would rate me (when I have a good day) a 10. otherwise 7.5
on all other servers 6.5

I consider myself pretty awesome on certain maps. I work better alone than with team cooperation.

So, if a CTF server has 10 reds and 10 blues and 1 rogue, I'll be the rogue pwning everyone else.

This brings up a very fond memory of a sniper server one day...can't remember the name of this server, but there was two buildings, one on each side, one for red, the other for blue. Both bases were in a bunker on the top level of each building, and on the top of each bunker was a pyramid, which you could sit inside and not get hit by anything except SB. And all the shots went...fast.

I was the rogue, sitting in the pyramid above Red's base, with SW. When someone would spawn in red's base, I would politely send them respawning somewhere else, because, as we all know, spawning in your own base is a bad idea, from a tactical viewpoint. When someone (red or blue) would come too close to try to get Red's flag, I would let them know that it was a bad idea.

I sent a Blue guy a message telling him to come and get Red's flag...because both teams were beginning to complain about my camping skillz, yo! So, Blue captures Red's flag, and guess what? All of Red respawns in their base, and so I take them all out with a SW. That's when the death threats, the whining, the gnashing of teeth (on keyboards), and the awesome coordination of Red team to kill me began.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but I seem to remember it taking two regular tanks to distract me, a SW tank, a GM perched and locked on me in the far corner, a sniper on the other side of the map, and a ST tank (which killed me) jumping inside the pyramid from behind to finally kill me.

Oh, then there's this one time where the admin of a server was playing around with the environment settings, and set the shockwave to cover the entire map. Guess who had shockwave? I was pretty awesome then...

On the other side of the coin, there are BZFlag players who can turn their tanks into ninjas. I'm talking about the ones that can jump, spinning in midair, fire a laser, and take out every target that also happens to be jumping at the same time, and by the time they're back on the ground, they've pwned the rest of the server. Or stealthily jump down behind you, fire a single shot, and then disappear just before you explode. Always happens to me.

One of my favorite tactics is to find a cloaked flag on those servers which don't allow radar, and also has a map that makes it hard to see. So, everyone will have their speakers up, trying to hear shots or something. Then, I'll wait for a player to come into my sights. I'll get right in front of him and move towards him, and he'll be moving towards me because he can't see me unless he hunts for me, which rarely happens because his speakers are high anyways. We'll have our main guns aimed towards each other. Then, right when I'm in his face, I'll fire a single shot.

If the sight of seeing a bullet suddenly appearing out of nowhere right in front of you and killing you isn't enough to make you crap your pants, the loud CRACK and extremely loud explosion as you die should finish the job very efficiently.

Oh, you were asking about me rating myself? Definitely a 10. I haven't died a single time in 7 months.
