The first map I've played on was spiralzone. I think i got somewhere around 7-70.

Edit: I think this is the first map i played on, after i installed 2.0.0, for the month i had 1.10.8, i first played on either overlord or pillbox.

I can't remember my first map that well, I think it was Planet Mofo though - I did it out of curiosity and my friend recommended it to me. Now, I've grown out of planet Mofo, playing some other maps. I do go back once in a while though.

Giza Plateau. Loved it, until I found another map.

Mine was 2 Tanks

Mine was "Urban jungle".At first it was very complicated but I'm still playing that server very seriously now...

I think you mean something like pillbox. That has no flags, not much "junk", and it definitely was CTF.

HiX: Hunt the Wabbit

I went on there one day and didn't do all to well. I didn't really understand. I recall being the rabbit once, though.

It was probably just a random generated map, no specific map. But a lot of my early time was spent on Spiralzone. My current favorite is Urban Jungle. My all time favorite is Fred Cod's rabbit chase. A big thumbs up to Badgerking for making the MG usable.

i remember the first map i played on very well. its actually still one of my favorite maps. yay louman's lasermania!

I think the first I played was DUB::Public Pillbox.

I'm almost positive the first map I ever played on was Mofo, but there's also the distinct possibility that it was a map that my dad's friend had created, which was created in the likeness of the college where my dad teaches. One of the two, though I think it was Mofo. I do remember that my first time on Mofo, I spawned and then was lasered immediately. Curse you, Severus Snape!

Either pillbox, or it could have been ducati. I remember that it was a long time ago, and not much cover or fancy details or all the garbage thats added nowadays.

Mine was silvercat (overlord or babel) and I always try to go back to play them wenever i can. You can do well given time and skill, you can't camp so well and well balenced ctf (not too hard or too easy) are 3 reasons that make them really good maps.
I miss them
And loumans lasermania too as no one plays them anymore. I feel old fashioned

first map i ever played at was Loumans Laser Sniping... I got pwnd!

Decks was my first also, aka Defman - back around 2000 to 2001 timeframe, when we only had something like 40 to 60 available servers to choose from IRC.

I eventually went with Mad City on Kernel Panic's Turkey Moongroup server as a favorite.

My second and last map is HIX (gu league)

Spiralzone. Got killed unmercifully. Many times. Still loved it.

Found it again a few weeks ago and did much better, but I still struggle to stay on the + side.

I think my first map was the origional HiX, version 1, on xmission.bzflag.org:5154. Either that, or another favorite, twin spirals (spiral zone?) on secretplace.

My first server was the basic server back in the SGI days.. Tanks didn't jump and you drove around in what looked like sand..

You could plant remote land mines as well..

I'm PRETTY sure laser and gm sniping by ducatiwannabe... but it might have been this other one that was really cool and I haven't found since. It seems to me there were a lot of huge structures, and pathes in the air... hmm...

mine was two tanks laser sniping, i still play it but people seem to have forgotten it best ever now i play missile wars because people are always on it
