I started playing this game when it was in its 1.0 stages almost 7 years ago. I was ten years old and this game was a huge part of my childhood. I stopped playing abruptly and I never looked back. I'm almost 17 now and I decided to check it out again on a whim and I was blown away. I was overwhelmed by nostalgia and I honestly almost cried. I would play this game everyday after elementary school. I would play with Thumper, aMeteorite, Legolas, and TD_Linux. I was more of a map maker than a player and I would spend hours designing these crazy maps that I have no idea how to make now. I think I've dumbed down over the years. Here are a few of the things i made almost a decade ago:

Im pretty sure noone remembers me but it makes me so happy to see bzflag alive and well. Maybe I can get to talk to some of my old tank buddies

Not much... 3.0 is dead, no one is working on development. Kinda sad really.

I still think I have some of your maps sitting around. What's that one... gosh... can't remember the name. It was really popular. Had lots of different levels, I think, right? If I still got it I could stick it up.

I think you might be talking about the Pyramid map. Im still really proud of that. Its the first link in the first post

No, that's not it. Though I do remember the Pyramid map pretty well, was fun.

I'll have to see if I can find it, or at least the name of it. It could have been that other guy whose name shall never be said (actually I forgot it) who disappeared suddenly who made what I'm thinking about... you may have collaborated on it though.

Spiralzone?

Spiralzone is probably my all time favorite. Junker still puts it up from time to time.

AFAIK Spiralzone was made by wiz and Spirals 3.0 by BzDoug.

Junker usually hosts spiralzone off my server. If you guys really want, I guess I could put it up for him

The maps are in the links. You can download them and do whatever you want with them.

Hopping on this thread a little late, but I'd just like to say welcome back to BZ, Cedric. Didn't play back when you did, nor did I ever play on your maps (except for Pyramid, it looks familiar), but it's nice to have an old-timer back. Hope to see you on the battlefield!
