What connection do you play with? What brand of computer?

ok, here's the deal. I want to know what connection you "normally" play with, and what brand of computer ou "normally" play on.

Connection
Incoming: 3008 kbps
Outgoing: 512kbps

Computer:

Mac OS X 10.2.8

*I only added computer in poll because i can't do 2 polls at once. just post your internet speed, I KNOW there are other computer brands out there, just listing three main ones. Sry other people~*

As far as I can remember (Demon keep upgrading me), my ADSL connection is 8Mbps downstream (so about 1-2Mbps upstream i think.)

I run Mac OS X on my iBook and Dual 1Ghz G4 Powermac.

DSL Connect Rate (Down/Up) 1792 KBits/Sec by 448 KBits/Sec
(thats what my router says, the actual speed varies)

Computer:

I think we can keep it under control, as all OS's have their own pro's and con's. If one peson starts raging how their computer is the greatest thing inn the world and everybody else sucks etc. i'll have the admins take care of it. After all, what are they there for? :wink: :wink:

Built my own computer which runs Gentoo Linux. For editing photographs and playing the heavier games.

My wife and I each have an older laptop both of which came with Windows XP. We both have Xubuntu installed and use that primarily with the rare boot into Windows.

Connection 3 meg down, 768k up.

I use linux for most things but not bzflag recently because it's having troubles with it. so for bzflag:

OS: win 2k SP4

Optic Fiber Line:
Down: 5 Mbit +/-
Up : 1.5 Mbit +/-

WinXP, sometimes Suse9.3. My PowerMac is too weak for BzFlag

OMG my mac and my windows boxboth have the same transfer speed!

How can this be?

Up: Usually 8-9mbit/sec

Down: Usually 1-2mbit/sec
