Yeah, "Who Doesn't Use Radar?" would have more interesting results. I think I use radar about as much as I can. Maybe that's 85.6% of the time.

Playing radar is like playing tag, but you have these panels on the sides of your head, ( like this: I_^_I ) so you can't see the sides of you. Stupid connection, but you get the idea. Playing without radar is playing blindfolded.

I think that I use radar much less than most people, but still enough. Its not very big, maybe one or two above default, heck, it may be below the default. Its certainly possible that I will go without the radar for a good span of time, especially with BU. Occasionally I suffer for it, but hey, its how I play.
Obviously, this will vary from game to game, on Planet MoFo I use it less than I do playing Pillbox.

I think what size the radar is tells alot about you as a player and your style.
Games don't make people violent, lag does.

I use radar more than 90% of the time. 3D I use with laser and when I have a close fight against a very good player (to see which direction he turns).

It seems most of the newer, and inexperienced players use radar..

That being said, I use radar about 90% of the time.

I obviously use the radar a lot. But i wonder if we all use the window a lot more than we realise.... Remember that the only way you can tell the direction a tank is facing is out of te window, unless you can see their movement on the radar. I would say that i use the window subconsciously a lot more than i realise.

Pretty much the same here, i use the radar for seeing players/flags, and for general direction, and i use the window for seeing players/rebounds/flags and for jumps.

Get it right and its Pure Ownage! :D

Excellent point. I like to drive in reverse a lot, being that most players simply use radar. It looks like you're facing te other way on radar. They often jump right in front of you expecting you to be facing in another direction.

Same here, if im above or below someone i'll drive in reverse till they make the first move. Its quite suprising how many people you trick :D

So like everyone else the radar is a MUST

nah, its easy to tell. Reverse gear is much much slower than forward :)

spazzy: I seriously only use radar 95% of the time. I've trained my subconscious to ignore the window, it usually ends up killing me, unless I'm executing a jump shot.

Wow, I wish I had seen this before.

But about the reverse speed vs. forward speed... there are still ways to be sneaky with that. We don't always have to drive full-speed ahead, after all. ;)

Especially those of us using joysticks.

Isn't there a variable controlling the reverse speed? I mean, is there another variable other than _tankSpeed controlling the reverse speed of a tank?

There is not one as of now alwaysanegativescore. People have asked for this to change in later versions though.
