The attached screenshot is taken while jumping on the leftmost highest point of the castle wall.

Sure it is.. you are not at the highest point inside the castle. Going in either teleporter takes you up to pods that are the exact same height as the center platform.

I meant one of the centre platforms beside the centre platform, as shown in the screenshot.

Well your question was not very clear, but yes they are easily hittable as well.

I knew of it about a month ago, but only learnt how this week. You have to observe people(leaders are a good choice), you learn a lot else as well.

You need to fire against the gable (triangular shield) on the adjactent base.

yes heulsuse is correct. firing at the centre triangle on the oppositions base will enable you to hit the 2nd jump platform on the opposite side
