are there versions of the game where its browser based or flash based?

Not necessarily. If it was done right.

It would be entirely possible if you are talented, know talented people, and have a lot of time on your hands. But there's no justifiable reason for it.

It is possible, but it would run a whole lot slower, though. If it were to be done, you would have to use Macromedia Flash or Shockwave, which would make the game look cheap, or get someone who knows Java REALLY well.

The other problem is getting it to be online without having it look like crap. There are plenty of online games out there, but they all run slow and look cheesy.
