Why you should protect the flag carrier

The re-spawn code tries to place you away from the enemy and near your team. If you're protecting the flag carrier then you have the advantage of the following:

[1] There will be someone to pick up the flag if the carrier gets shot.
[2] If a teammate gets shot then they're more likely to spawn near the flag carrier.
[3] You're reducing the possibility of an enemy tank from spawning near the flag carrier.

I think the above are obvious but I'm amazed how often the flag carrier is left to "go it alone".
