Always used keys. Habit from the old days of playing Oub and Empire on PLATO, I guess.

Just a few changes in the keymap:

q - fire
w - identify

Left middle finger on the Tab key for jumps, left index finger used for firing and identifying. Right hand on the arrow keys to navigate. Works for me.

I use both depending on what map. I use keyboard more though. I shoot with Z, drop flag with X, lock on with A and jump with SPACE. My keys are all on one side exept I use the arrow keys to move. It's really easy because I can use all my keys without moving my hands very much.

Mouse forever. Much more control and makes it easier to jump and press other buttons.

Neither here (6-button joystick with hat).
And the lesson for tonight is:

I use keyboard all the time unless I'm playing a jumping/climbing game at which point I need more accurate jumping. For keyboard I use right hand for the controlling keys and left hand on enter (shooting) and i key (I to identify). If I need to jump my right hand becomes shooting and left hits tab key.

Personally, I use a keyboard. I have no problem aiming, and I can do fine with identification. My keymapping is: a: drop flag, s: jump, d: identify/lock on, space: fire, arrow keys to drive. I simply cannot use a mouse decently (simply too twitchy, and I hate the lag time to accelerate). I think that the speed control is overrated.

The mouse gives you finer control of your movement. You can set your mouse speed low and make your mouse box size big, which gives you precise movement. Or you could make your mouse fast and have a small mouse box, which makes you twitch and move around fast. All a matter of preference.

I prefer the mouse, it provides much more control than the keyboard.

Pfft easy choice, keyboard, just chand the controls and shooting and dodging will be much easier, for me, e r t and enter are to fire, easier then using boring old mouse. :gross:
Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo
Teamwork is essential,it gives them other people to shoot at.

I prefer mouse, myself. I like it probably because it involves little thought. After all, who likes to think outside school?

Alot of people say you can shoot faster with mouse, but if you change the key mapping of your keyboard,I think you'll shoot much faster then mouse, for example if I use e,r,t and enter to shoot so four keys to shoot with,so im much faster with keyboard, easier to move to if you ask me.
