Attention: I am buying a good mouse.

Reason: more precise, I love the scroll wheel as shoot, and most of the veteran players use mouse, and I like the presicion of the jumping and speed.

btw I will suck for the first little while until I regain my skill

Any recommendations for a good mouse?

Keyboard. I made a custom layout for my keys, and it works very well for me.

I control the tank by my thoughts. I think "left", and the tank drives left.

I use keyboard, personally. it grew on me since i have a trackpad and not an actual mouse.
And now my layout is so awesome i can't live without it.
arrow keys to move
w = jump
a,d = shoot
s = drop flag.
Its amazing. try it.

I like my setup: Tab: jump, Q: fire, E: lock on, everything else is standard.
On my mouse, LMB: jump, scroll down: shoot, RMB:lock on, scroll up: zoom.

Keyboard, Apple mouses aren't amazing, or even double-button. Even when I replace it, the movement around isn't as controlled, I think.

I used to use keyboard under the configuration of
B=jump
X=Slowmo
Space=shoot
V=identify
C=bino

But now I use mouse and I like it a lot better
Configuration
B and right click=jump
scroll and space=shoot
rest the same

I like to use the mouse. You can control it exactly where you want it to go. With the keyboard, you have very limited control.

i would say mouse is better, because the keyboards are so far apart that when i grabbed a flag i didn't want i had to let go of the enter/return button to hit the spacebar and get shot. so its mouse for me.

Zac is a GU player and would be using radar 90+% of the time and it would be all the way (max radar) the more you check radar the better you will become!

You can easily change your key mapping via Options in the BZF menu ;)

Really, you can get slow jumps with the KB without the 'slow keyboard motion' because when you press the up key (or whatever you use to move forwards) the tank accelerates to full speed almost instantly. I say almost because if you hit them at the same time, you can get slower jumps. I play with KB because I'm always turning in ways I don't want to with the mouse. whenever I shoot with the mouse, I always miss, because I can't hold it still enough.

A Vicious Muffin wrote:Mouse. Has everything i need, except for jumping. And what is the defalt "identify" button on the keyboard? Shift or control? When I accidentally hit one of the keys for keyboard movement, it looks really rocky. Like....squarish.
The default identify button is "i", but personally i use right click more often. I have all my vital things on my mouse, but i play 2 handed cuz its easier :D. So give another vote for mouse

Used to play all the time with mouse, but since I came back to bzf earlier this year, I had to use keyboard due to playing on my laptop. Tried to play with the mouse again last night, but got totally disorientated - never again.

Best setup:
Q,W = shoot
Tab = Jump
E = Slow Mo
End = Restart, Identify
1,2,3,4,5 = Different radar zooms.

I play with full radar, and practically no mouse-box.

In my opinion, Keyboard is better then Mouse, as you have more control.

Yeah, keyboard. No brainer. I used to use mouse, then I got a laptop, and wanted to try keyboard, and now I can't use mouse.
