BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
BZFlag 2.0.16 "No Foolin" has been released
The Seventh and unfortunately really, really, we super mean it this time, final maintenance release for the 2.0.x line has been released and is being uploaded to sourceforge and it's mirrors now
Installers and source code can be found at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... up_id=3248
The version is compatible with existing 2.0.x clients and servers.
This release fixes some small critical bugs and has small changes to some Linux build targets in order to be included in the next redhat release. No major features are included in this release.
We will update all the installers and binary builds as well. We recommend that all server owners upgrade to this version in order to fix some client connection exploit issues.
Additional info can be found on the wiki at http://my.bzflag.org/w/BZFlag_2.0.16

One new feature that you might want to try is: Options -> Effects -> Shot Length
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
The Windows installer (and a fixed .zip archive) are online now.
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
any precompiled version?-- oh i see, for windows only
Darkid--Not a happy camper.
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
Only other one we might do is an OSX build. If you're on Linux, you will either build yourself, or you'll wait for your distro's package maintainer to do it.
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
Mac programs don't put the version number in the app, they put it in attributes (xattr), they often put a Applcations shortcut in the DMG, and the DMG goes a bit below the artwork.
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
we put the version number in the app so it's easy to have more then one version "installed"

Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
catay's TimeLimit plugin, which is used in the Pillbox and Ducati leagues, is included in 2.0.16. This should make it easier for server operators to upgrade and take advantage of the 2.0.16 bug fixes.
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
is there ANYWHERE i can find a mac version of 2.0.16??
Re: BZFlag 2.0.16 Released
This one here isn't perfect, but it might work for you: http://beta.bzflag.bz/builds/2.0.x/MacO ... 2.0.16.dmg
I think the main problem with that one is that the PPC version didn't build with SDL so some features may be missing. The Intel version should work though.
