Now that's odd. Texturing is screwed up. It's not just the fonts, look at the title also. Make sure your video drivers are up to date and that your video card is not overheating. What sort of video card are you using?

ah well, i just played with some options and its fixed. and the images(team icon, title) were blurred also. I just joined a server and *voila* its fixed.

I know that the new version is still in development, but can you give a
hint of the day when it will be totally finished?

French Translation: Je sais que la dernière version est encore et toujours
en période de test et de développement, mais pouvons nous avoir un
indice de la journée où elle sera fini?

I'm giving a french translation because it my primary language. If
someone understand better the french, you will see that I seem less
confused in what I write. I will try to do this in all my post, but not the
longest because I'm a lazy person :)

OO new effect too?

Is the FX for tanks with OO flag new too? :?:

They are very nicely drawn in a translucent, ghostly way.
Or do I mix that up with Phantom Zone?

@night crawler: Your English is just just fine, don't worry.

the public versions come whenever the devs think it is totally finished. Those are the ones posted on www.bzflag.org ...not here.

I just expected that a dev guru could give us a hint of the date where it sould come out...

we do not have a planned release schedule. A release is made when a number of people feel the version is done, and they stop adding to it. So noone can give you a date, because there is not one. 2.2.0 ( in dev as 2.1.x ) will probably ship sometime before the middle of next year. We seem to go about 6 months between releases. We never really had any plan for a 2.0.6, but enough stuff was put into the 2.0.x line to make one possibly viable, it remains to be seen if that is the next release, or what.

Tx Jeff for this explanation . Can we see the change of the beta in the older version if we set the graphic to experimental? What does it exacly show? I never saw a real difference.

the changelog will show you what each version has in it.
some effects are not in older versions.

Nope, 2.0.5 isn't out.
There are beta builds that are sort-of released here, but they are not official releases and are just for testing. This particular message thread is about the fourth beta release by the developers, hence the "b4" part of the filename.

The official releases are on the download page:
http://bzflag.org/wiki/Download
and the Sourceforge page:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... up_id=3248

new feature. Admins can now give and take flags from players.
/flag give slot flag
/flag take slot

ex:
/flag give #0 gm
/flag take "^nightmare^"

Is the fog being worked on? Because when I see fog, I absolutly slow down when a server has fog, although I can get pretty good fog frame rates in flight sim (bad example). Maybe an option to turn off fog?

Yes yes this has happened to me as well. At first it happened alot...then the more i use the client...the less it crashes. But whenever it does crash..the color on my desktop is like dulled and brightned. I hate it.
