It does not look like it will be today due to source force having a CVS outage for the weekend.

when CVS is back up we will probably take about a day to make sure all things are in order and the release.

No new graphics (or very few). The GLEW library
is only used for the anisotropic filtering option (if the
2.0.6 release goes out with the current CVS code).

I'd rather wait with 2.0.6 until trepan commits that new graphics code with relief mapping, parallax mapping, particle fountains, cube mapping....

ummm it's basicly the same as 2.0.5b7, just with a couple small changes. This one isn't going to rock your world or save your day... We just want to get it out so we can move on to 2.1.x development.

err... then whats this?...

* pre-game waiting room:
provide a means for players to gather before and after
a game. basic text chat facilities. allows players
to wait for enough players for a game and to discuss
strategy, etc. could build this into bzfs easily.

and this...

* radio chat:
allow players to communicate via low-quality audio.
already some support built into the server for this.

So 2.0.6 is supposed to be the last official built of the 2.0.X-line?

Scorch
what are you talking about

Saturos
yes, baring any huge bugs that demand a fix. the plan is to put new enhancments into the 2.1.x line for release as 2.2.

If we do not move forwared we will never be able to break the protocoll and fix the existing bugs.

i believe what scorch was talkling about is found somewhere on the todo list or on sourceforge. i remember reading it a while back.

then it is just stuff that somone wanted to do but did not do. The TODO does not set a list of requirements for a release, just ideas people have.
