BZFlag presented on OSGamer.org

Post by hardyvoje »

Hello Friends,

I've presented your project on new Open Source Gaming Portal:
http://www.osgamer.org

Page about BZFlag:
http://www.osgamer.org/modules/AMS/arti ... storyid=15

OSGamer has aim to collect all information about OS games and to present them in user-friendly manner to gamers.

OSGamer is new site and I need your support too, so if you can, (or if you like :))) ) please put link to OSGamer.org on your page.

I've posted some ideas about cooperation with my portal on:
http://www.osgamer.org/modules/AMS/arti ... storyid=20

If you want to be presented better, please write some article about your project and send me at: office@osgamer.org

also if you like to give interview, I have few question related on os development and personal aspiration about your project.

hope you'll like www.osgamer.org

Best regards!

Goran,

Thanks for the review on your site. Interest and coverage from the media portals, fan sites, and news outlets is always welcome and appreciated. If you'd ever like to have questions answered interactively or to get statistics, etc, feel free to stop by our IRC channel (#bzflag on irc.freenode.net) and look for myself (username brlcad) or any one of the other core developers that are usually on the channel.

For what it's worth, I know that the maintainer of the OSGaming (http://osgaming.net) portal website has very similar aspirations and goals that coincide with your own. He's actually a personal acquaintance, great guy with easy-going demeanor that is fairly easy to work with. I would suggest maybe trying to establish a collaboration of efforts between the two of you. There is a sore need for a comprehensive content-rich open source gaming portal. Getting your similar efforts to work together if only to share content would be a major boon to the community at large.

Either way, thanks again for the review and hope to see more in the future! It looks like you've got a great start already under way and you certainly picked the best open source game out there to review. ;-)

Cheers!
Sean

Thanks on contact, i didn't know about osgaming.net

Now i'm little sad cause our names are very similar. I don't know about cooperation, maybe link exchange, but I'll contact him of course. The better thing is to have competition, so everybody will try to be better :)

I'll write detailed game review this was only rip from your site, but at this moment I'm inserting About games rips from other OS project to put everything worth on one place, and then I'm planing to test and play every game :) the fun begins then !!

:)

If you have some feedback for osgamer.org please write it here or even better on site. I need feedback and opinions!

thanks!
