And, don't post another version, especially in another topic, until you've filled the map up a little more, tested it (make sure you can actually *reach* objects and such), and are satisfied with it. Check out the help forum and look at my bzedit tutorial, if you so choose to. Getting better.

open bzflag and Follow: Join Game>Start Server>World Map:> find your map. you gonna have to put you map in a special place I dont know how to get to it in WIndows (:() but in linux: Home Folder>Ctl+H>bzf>Worlds. put ur map in the worlds file. In windows I would just do a search for "world."

I fixed some of the boxes, now you can actually reach them ;) I also moved the teles away from the middle a little bit so you can pass through them easily. All you need to do now is complete the links, at the moment you have 1 teleporter linked to itself it seems :) There is also no way to reach the border tracks, perhaps changing the 2 teleporters on the floor to linking up top.

Here is your map with the few improvements I said above AND also a small config that you WILL have to change as I will explain below :)

Hopefully your on Windows as what I'm writing below is for Windows :)

To host a map privately save your config file (the one i've attached below) as

Code: Select all

gswish_xworldv1.txt
or something like that and save it where your BZFS is. BZFS is short for BZFlag Server which SHOULD be at this path

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\BZFlag2.0.8
That is where you should save your config, it's where I save all mine :)

Now, also save the bzw as gswish_xworldv1.bzw (the map file I attached below..NOT the config ;)) to

Code: Select all

C:\Documents and Settings\gswish\My Documents\My BZFlag Files
Your world should be saved at your 'My BZFlag Files' folder in ANOTHER folder called worlds.

So go to that path and create a folder called Worlds, if you haven't done so already and save all your worlds, and other players you may have into there.

Now back to the config file make sure you have added

Code: Select all

-world "map/to/your/world/file/gswish_xworld.bzw"
And yes, have the path in quotes.

Now that your Map is there everything should be good to go :)

Go to

Code: Select all

start --> run --> type cmd --> press {Enter}
Now type

Code: Select all

cd C:\\program files\\bzflag2.0.8
Press {Enter}

Notice that's the path to your config AND BZFS

now type

Code: Select all

bzfs -conf gswish_xworldv1.txt
Now press {Enter}.

-conf ->gswish_xworldv1.txt<- what I've pointed out is where you should write the name of your Config, don't forget to add .txt at the end of it :) If you did what I said it should be saved as gswish_xworldv1.txt anyways so that should all be good.

Now to play on it open BZFlag and in the server part write localhost and for the port type 5154
5154 being the default port :)

If everything has gone well it should be working.

GoodLuck!
