Bowling Alley

Yep, it's a bowling alley, just one. The aim of the game is to try and get a strike, this isn't a fighting map, although it can be if you want. You spawn at the top of the ally and from that make your way down the slippery but fast wood. Sounds simple? There are also some invisible blocks, invisible to both sight and radar that really do through you of course. And don't go down the gutter ;) There is also a secret room, you won't be able to see it on radar but it should be fairly easy to find.
You can...
Host this map
Edit this map
Call it your own
Distribute it any way you want
Use idea's from this map
Basically, anything.

Here are some screen shots....

Also, WOW, I have never seen so many maps released in such a short period.

You can't actually jump over them that easily. The screenie must make them look small I suppose.

Nice Work =)

So, it's not a fighting map? Something tells me that with a few 'newbs' it will fastly become another FFA.

Yes, I know, On-top of the right for people to host the map, I have also said they could edit, distribute it any way they want, and even call it their own if they want :)

I actually got around to trying it, and had a few disappointments...

1) The invisible walls add confusion, and it takes a while to actually know how the map works. I think you're supposed to curve like a real bowling ball?

2) The wall on the sides of the map are partially exposed, which can let you jump to the wall to avoid a gutterball.

3) The secret room is too hard to get too (er, but it really shouldn't be, or should it?)

4) This map doesn't exactly conform to the Map-In-A-Box specifications (one primary source of pain might be having users edit their DownloadAccess.txt). I would add the configurations inside an options block.

5) What's the real purpose of ST?

6) Personally, I'm not sure how killing yourself is fun. Maybe a server-side plugin could enhance the experience (like Fireworks in the BZOlympics).

Criticism aside, I think this map has the potential to be cool. Good work.

When going down the passage to the secret room you can see the concrete on the side.
On the second physics linear it take 3 jumps going forward to get onto the one that jumps you into the secret room.
Only the bowling pins on the outer layer have death physics.

Those are the only bugs that I have had happen to me, I wont be making v2, but if you want your welcome to. :)
