Kitchen

I've finally finished the kitchen map. It includes windows, but no door. I guess thats its the type of kitchen that you don't leave...
It took me a while to get every flat surface flat (finally figured out that I always have to use "flatten" with Wings3D), and then a bit more time to get the meshes and zones all in.
This is a FFA map, 5 players per team. It is possible to get up to the top of the fridge without wings, but I still added a few wings flags to make it easier for more people.

And one again I am releasing the map under this license.

Great textures, also the "full" fridge now is nice. The floor seems a tiny bit open given its size, so you might want to put a couple obstacles here and there.

Quantum Tank- Technically, there are no textures. I just have materials with the different colors. I'll think about putting things in there, but what should I put? Maybe some chairs for the table.
Also, I think that I'll try adding a closed door...

It looks nice :) Do you have hard edges on those? It could look a bit better with some hard edges, as everything just seems to kinda blend in. But other than that, gj!

It would be interesting to see how the map looks without lighting turned on.

Yeah, I'd say definitely go for some textures. It will help the overall contrast look better.

Without lighting, it really is hard to see for certain things... but I don't really know how to fix that. My main problem is that the walls aren't flat, so ricochets don't work very well on them... i can't find the wall meshes, so I can't flatten them.

You might want to add a death physics driver on the stove for show, but other than that, it looks fine. Not sure how the gameplay will go, but it looks nice.

I don't think I quite understand what you mean... Are you talking about SW ww zones? That would be a bit weird...

Okay,I've updated the screenshots and map file in the first post. Also, I've added textures seeing as without light, it was impossible to see where you were for some places. The screenshots show a some strangeness on the floor, but I've fixed that. It has been tested it without lighting and its now possible to know where you're going.

What I ended up doing is re-making the walls using wings, and then giving different objects different materials so that I could give them textures later.

Looks great! You could add a rotating texture matrix for the sink water, just a thought.

PETER: the sink water doesn't have a texture, its just a material. You can see the sink texture through it.

Then add a water texture to it :P

I've tried it with the water texture, and it really doesn't look as good. I think its best to have clear water in the house, after all.

You better close the fridge door before all the cold air escapes :D

Anyways nice map, looks like you've put alot of time into making it. Cannot wait to see the final version.

For floor obstacles, you could put stuff like spilled flour, an empty can, and a dog ;p.

The map looks nice, but why not put a mousetrap in? Put a steak fillet on it ;p.
