I made a new map a few days ago. It can be a FFA or CTF map but I like the FFA mode better. (Not like bots can play CTF but anyway...)
Screenies attached. I was going to make the blocks between the bases Drive(but not Shoot) through but I wouldn't stay like that  . I'm a linux junkie but I can't get BZEdit working on linux and I just started maping so i haven't got the chance to learn coding. (if thats what you call it :?: ) You can use/play/host my map if you want!

First of all, you need to read the "READ BEFORE POSTING A MAP: Map Licenses" topic in this forum. There is no license specified for this map.

Second, can't you pick a name for the map? I mean, what is a host going to put up? "My New Map by robozman"? ;)

I did read that (lol). Its a public map, I really don't care what anyone does with it. Is that good enough?
Anyway... I guess it will be call Spike 'Em Up! (If thats a good name?)
So what do you think of the map?

Scratch That
Oh i figured it out!
I think the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License looks good!
Is that the right one?
I'm reattaching the map!

Yes, the one you picked should be just fine. :) (There isn't a "right one" - it's whatever you want, within reason and within our requirements)

The license tells the USERS what you allow them to do with it. If you don't care, then just say it's public domain. If you want to ensure that any maps made based on this are also free, then the CCSA license is fine. It has more to do with what you want to let people do with your work. Our only restriction for posting here is that the license be one that allows anyone to use it. If you wanted to have tighter restrictions ( such as saying people can only use it with your permission ) then that's fine, it is your work, we would just not let it be posted here on these forums.

As it stands, it sounds like you just want to make the map public domain.

That is what i meant i just was not sure if the one i chose needed an account or something over my head. But i read them terms of the Contract i picked and i understand now.

I don't think you understand. It's not a "contract" you picked, and is has nothing to do with any "account". A license tells someone what they can do with some creative work that you hold the copyrights to.

it was a bad wording. I meant what you said i wasn't sure if i had to make an account on their website to use their licence thingy but i read about it and i now understand its not a contract its just a bunch of words that tell someone what they are aloud and not aloud to do with the map.

To be honest: it's a really simple map.

It looks very similar to one of my first maps. I think it's fine, but very simple. If you don't mind me adding a couple of tips... people typically don't like really big boxes or pyramids, they take up a lot of room and you can't do a whole lot with them. Try making some of those bigger objects smaller and making more smaller objects. When you get better, try stacking items too.

Hi,

The map is up at BZAddict.net:5600. We are testing the map, I think it could deserve to be hosted, it could be a nice hide&seek map!
