Metropolis

Post by LouMan »

Attached is Revision 1.3 of Metropolis. Fixed a few more bugs and seems to be running ok now. The darkness problem 'should' be fixed. I cannot replicate any such issue and everything looks ok to me now.

Just played this one for the first time today. Here is a completely unoriginal phrase to describe your efforts: Great job, LouMan!

This map has no bugs at all. I sat down in the sewer, pretending to be the green sewer monster and being killed by all the other tanks. :P

One thing: Your antenna is really messed up, the antenna tower kills you and not the antenna. You really should learn about antenna isolation. Your antenna won't transmit at all, as it is grounded from being connected to the tower.

Is the antenna a ham repeater? Cell tower? Microwave ISP? Radio broadcasting tower? Whatever it is, it must be 100+ KW to kill a tank.

It's still dark...at least at louman.bzflag.bz. The sewers are as dark as ever.

The antenna tower is electrically isolated by invisible transdimensional ceramic insulators and is entirely conductive due to the nature of it's broadcast spectrum. The antennas are actually used for mind control and the frequency that they transmit is in the ULF band, requiring very tall superconductive, supercooled transmission towers. Without going into too much detail regarding the ultra-secret transmission technology, the electroniceribellumigraphic emissions excite the microneurocapacitive elements in the frontal lobe of adrenaline enhanced tank operators, causing temporary disorientation and a desire to destroy everything in their immediate surroundings. This is especially true for those tank operators using shockwave, as the frequencies used by the mind-controlling transmission towers nearly match the phase of the shockwave's spectrum. The combination of frequencies creates an exponential increase in EMF immediately surrounding the shockwave armed tanks. This incredible amount of ULF EMF creates a huge degree of panic for tank operators in the immediate vicinity of the shockwave armed tank, causing an incredible urge to drive in the opposite direction as quickly as possible.

Ahh, so that's why I always run toward shockwave armed tanks on other maps?

Interesting how the mind control passes all the way from your computer to the Internet, into my cable modem, passes through my firewall unharmed, travels via Ethernet to my computer, is passed to the WLAN card, is emitted from the 802.11g card's two loop antennas imbedded in the laptop screen, and is recieved in my head. Can you PM me a basic block diagram of your technology, please?

I'm sorry for taking all that incorrect praise! :lol-old: It's from Amazing 3D. 9907 Faces. I used Wings to convert it, Notepad to rotate it. I don't like Wings and use Caligari gameSpace Light for my models. I haven't any done at the moment, but am working on some.

I can give the BZW if you want it

Oh. Well - I could build a car if you want(but it wouldn't be as good as the one I've already shown). Or - show you a pic of a WW2 Bomber i'm making. Please don't have me taken to jail for robbery.
