I am trying to set the password for my map... it is not yet hosted...any tips?thanks

Read the documentation... Check the wiki... Use the Search button on these forums...

The -passwd option does not work while inside the bzw options block.
BZEdit is intended primarily as a map-test launcher. It is not intended as a full function game server.
You need to learn to use a configuration file, or pass the -passwd option to bzfs via the command line.
Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

I think you mean BZWTestLauncher, not BZEdit. :)
