How on Earth do I get BZFS to run my map?

Reading the documentation would help. And being less vague might also get you more help. ;)

The documentation is shipped with the diverse installers and packages and is probably located within the installation directories, it can be found in the SVN repository and there is the BZWiki which provides loads of information on the various topics (including server running).
The BZWiki is located at http://my.bzflag.org/w/

I have the configuration file and world file. All I need to do is get bzfs to run it. I tried looking around the wiki way before posting the OP but couldn't find any answers.

If you're on Windows, we bundle HTML documentation for bzfs (among other stuff). On linux, use 'man bzfs'. On OSX, well, there's online man pages too.

IIRC, on Windows, open a terminal, type:

Code: Select all

C:
cd Program Files
cd BZFlag2.0.16
bzfs -conf MYSUPERCONFIGFILE.conf -world MYULTRASUPERMAP.bzw
Don't forget to replace C: with the folder name in which you have BZFlag installed and change your BZFlag version (line 3)

How do I set the variables like wings jump count and stuff. Do I make a separate file to put on the internet configurer?

Either ingame via /set, into your config file via -set, or into a vars file via -set.
