some plain textures

I would suggest putting them in a directory as well. That way you are assured that your textures are always there too. Imagine someone else coming up with textures and overwriting one of yours...

Hi,

I suggest that mappers practise 2.0 map making with the default textures. You can colorize them dynamically, so there isn't a real need for new, fancy textures for the moment.

Yes that is true. But, I think the reason why we are having this conversation is cause of people wanting to use Advanced textures. Like marble, steel and others. Some people I guess normal colors just don cut it they need bigger better textures then the other map that camse out with some cool textures. So far the best map by far right now using default textures is on that Amusement park server.
