I Need Some Map Help, lol.........

Post by Kodiak. »

Well, here is how it goes: I am starting a server, and I have everything worked out, except the map. I have to map finished, touched up, and ready for testing, but whenever I use the -world command in notepad, then click on BZSF, it only blinks open and then instantly closes. When I take the -world away, it's ok and stays open. What the heck is going on and how do I fix it????

This sounds like a server problem, not loading the map. But I'm curious;
The conf file and the BZFS terminal are entirely different,
I cant see how it would interfere when you start BZFS,
not when it loads your .bzw file. Typo?
Dormant. Not really. Kinda.

Yes, that link helped a lot. Well, everything appeared to go smoothly, until I tryed to make the server public....... I used both the -public "my text" and the -publicaddr "my no-ip address", and I couldn't get it public, lol. Any suggestions on where to go from here?

did you forward the correct ports to the server?
is it a valid DNS forwarding to the machine?

make sure the "-world" in is the conf, not the map. it also might help to post the conf, deleting the pasword and all the other stuff u dont want us to see

Kodiak., if you have a firewall up/router/whatever you want to call it, you'll have to let it allow whatever your port to go through by opening it. Otherwise, your router/thingie would block it from sending information.

Could you post your conf and block out the /password and stuff?

(somebody correct me if I'm wrong)
