Can't think of namr for this Missle Wars inspired map

Post by jpenguin »

It's a small map; has a few 'secrets'; I think it should be fun. I just can't think of a name for it--

Well, I tried it out and it's close to Missile war 2.3 (not that there is anything wrong with that) it's nice quite fast and yes, it'd got a few tricks up it's sleeve. The flag area is very easy to get to as it's a drivethrough floor (both ways).
Cool map, I like it :)

Thanks.

I love the Misslewars map, but find the jump-pad things kinda useless; I also have a hard time getting on the different levels of the wall. This map is a bit smaller and has a different play-field. It also has no Geno flag (I hate Geno)

My map will probably be officially released in about a day...

I forgot to mention; the texture on the top wall flicker a lot.
I love those 3 sided box things ahs3 made.

It may be from two boxes overlapping or in the exact same position.

Flickering platforms tend to indicate overlapping objects... For example, where two boxes intersect when individual boxes are made to create a stair step effect. Taking a rectangle and laying it on it's side and then placing an identical rectangle standing on end, with the taller in the middle of the one lying on it's side and both boxes resting on the ground... will create flickering where the two boxes exist at the same place. The better way to do this is to make one box and then stack another box on top of it, so that there is no intersection.

Nice explanation, did you create that .pdf just for this post? Or do you have it hanging around for posts like these?

Well, I did a quick-and-dirty hack to fix it. As soon as I think of an appropriate name for this map, I'll release it.

For another 12 hrs--
Map is now running @ teppic.homelinux.net:5151

Sad laugh *haw haw haw*

Well, I checked out the map that's hosted on the hosting.bzexcess.com and the physics that add momentum to your tank is really annoying, the top wall textures are still messed up...
