Ok, I am working on a "BZFopoly" map, based off of a traditional monopoly board. I need Ideas... Here are a few I have so far:
  • (DONE) 3D jail with a tele from the "go to jail" space. You can not drive out of the jail (except by tele), but you can shoot through the bars
  • cash under the sides of the board
  • Bank, with the extra cash and deeds
  • houses/hotels on random spaces
  • dice
  • Randomly linked tele's on the Com, chest and Chance spaces
  • "Railroads" (conveyors) between the railroad spaces)
If you have any more ideas, or modifications to these, please let me know. Whether it be gameplay, objects, etc. does't matter. Just tell me what you want to see.
Also, if anyone knows of, or can make, 3D models (mainly for the houses, playing pieces, police car, etc) let me know.
I will probably be needing some help with some aspects of this, (mainly texturing, since I only have the basics down) so if you have experience in map making, keep an eye out in the forums, cause I will post if I need any help.

The above list will always reflect the current ideas. If any ideas change or anyone add some good ideas, it will be added above.

I also need names for the spaces, since the originals are probably copyrighted. I'm thinking of using names of maps/servers (Planet Mofo, BZAddict, Missile War) and maybe for the railroads, having classic mapper memorials. (Louman, Dutchrai, ducatiwannabe) and for the utilities, leagues (GU, Ducati) So please, I need name suggestions! And where to put then according to value.

Sounds cool , but I can't help you I suck at Map making but good luck :)

Are you planning on actually having Monopoly-styled gameplay, or just a regular game of BZFlag that happens to be on a Monopoly board?

Just throwing the dice on this.
Free Parking might be a very strong camping spot.
Moving pathways between all the railroads?
Instead of the normal property names, use BZ server names from the past and present.
Random teles at chance and comm chest.
Something in my head keeps saying "lots of teleporters", but I'm not sure why.
Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

Maybe after 10 kills in a Free spot they get killed by the server.

Dartman, This is meant just to be a FFA style map. Unless someone can come up with one amazing idea.

OD, Why didn't I think of random tells on chance? great idea! Now I just gotta figure out how to code conveyors for the railroads.

bullet, so should I set a WW shockwave to fire like every five minutes in free parking?

If you are doing moving pathways for the first time, here is a Purple Panzer map "Ionian Pathways" to use as an example.
The four pathways are clearly marked and right at the beginning of the file. You'll see.
