Post by giggsey »

This is still in development, and I need suggestions on what to do to it etc.

The server is up on appliedstudios.com:5154

You can see the map file on http://giggsey.pastebin.com/757317

Suggestions please to a n00b map maker:D

Edit, I tried to get that tank thing in there, but I have no idea how

It was a object in one of the map making forums, but don't worry, I'll remove it, I don't really need it.

One question I do have, how do I set options on a zone? I want it to rain in a certain section of the map.

You can make it rain server side anywhere, as long as its in the middle.
I dont know how you do this, someone else probably knows
and would be willing to show you.

To turn rain on is:
/set _rainDensity # (usually i use about 1000)
/set _rainType Rain

/set _rainSpread # that sets how far out (X-Y) you want it to rain

right now i dont think you can make it rain in certain spots of your map with zones.

Is it possible to do that with fog as well?

Whoa that looks cool as! Couldn't really see the whole map then though but I'm guessing both sides are exactly the same.
