Rat's Nest Map & Textures Released Under CC License

License for all the work in this map, and associated textures and files -
Creative Commons
Since Rat's Next has been sitting completely untouched by me for over 10 months, I think it's time to release it under a (somewhat) liberal license so you can use any of the objects or textures in it on your map(s).
Download
The .zip containing all the .png textures, .blend objects, and .bzw map file
is located here. (Right click -> Save As)

Notes
- For more information regarding the files, and warranty of the map, check out the README.txt files which are located in the root of each folder.
- Regarding the attribution in the CC license, a simple "some objects by Winny" or "some objects from rat's nest" in the .bzw in will do. If you'd like to do without those, then send me a PM and we'll talk.

Ooh, is there any way i could get that base texture? Does it come in all 4 colors?

Download the different base textures from there. They're the *_basetop.png textures.

Sorry to re-open a old post, but I tried to open the link to the base textures, and it wouldn't open. Is there anywhere else the base textures may be hiding?

I have them. Not sure what license he released them or if they were ever released, but based on the fact he gave a link to them, I'll post them anyways.
I also have some amazing tank textures, wall textures, and a caution texture too. Quite nice ones if you ask me.

You would want to confirm with the original author what the license of those images are.

These might be the ones being asked about, and they don't have a license....

We have not allowed "non-commercial" licenses because they are not technically a truly "free as in freedom" license. So, as JeffM had said on IRC,

"Free software" does not mean "noncommercial." A free program must be available for commercial use, commercial development, and commercial distribution.

So if I understand you correctly, no map/prefab/whatever can be posted to this forum with a license that prohibits commercial usage? If that's correct, how do you justify

I would have been wrong there. This is one of the many reasons I am not a forum admin anymore. I probably didn't see the "NC" part.
The idea is/was to not have ANY limits on use just like BZFlag's license.
