I already made this in applescript, and as such, it will only work on a Mac. I was hoping, if somebody was interested in it, they could make it into a proper API plug-in...

ok so bacically, there is a list of different power-ups (set by changing server variables). for example "Super-Charged Shot" where your bullet goes much faster, and "Jump High, Run Fast" where the gravity is lowered and tank speed is increased.

what happens is, at random times during the game, the sky color will change and it will /say "Power Up!!! ---- " then the name of the power up. everyone plays with the different server settings. it lasts for 2/3 mins. then goes back to normal. The power-ups should be picked at random from about 10 different ones, so you don't know what's coming!!

Post whatever code you said you have, a list of goals, and means to what ends the plugin provides. Sounds about like something a few of us were discussing elsewhere

Should be fairly easy, except that I don't know how to do timing in plugins...

You could do this with DTRemenak's crontab plugin...

Here's a couple improvements that could be added:

trigger powerups on capping team flag two times in a row in a certain time period

have random sw's popup on the map

wholesale slaughter triggers powerups - ie using geno or base camping with a sw just as the other team spawns

have counter for how much time you have to capture other teams flag to activate a powerup

powerups are additive - you can have more than one of the same type at once

steadily increase amount of powerups towards end of game

turn radar off during powerup

FYI, I have started work on the plugin. It now randomly switches between sky color changing and segfaulting (j/k, I fixed that already, and it doesnt switch sky color completely randomly anymore )
