API change suggestion/request

I notice that in the API there are two message events, bz_eChatMessageEvent and bz_eMessagFilteredEvent. is there a way to combine these or give them the same functionality? As far as I can tell, there's no way to change chat messages when using bz_eMessagFilteredEvent, and there's no way to check through bz_eChatMessageEvent whether a message has been filtered or not.

I'm guessing that there is some logistic reason for the way these are set up, but it was worth a try.
