Jabber plugin possible

I'm asking myself wouln'd it be a great sttuff to have a plugin what translate the communication into what jabber/XMpp understand?! So that somebody can chat from his IM-client directly to a player and a player to another IM-client.
What do u think about?!

And the point would be? BZFlag is a game... not really a chat client. IMHO Players don't need any more distaractions than they already have. Chatting with players is fine, but I don't think chatting with others would be something that would be beneficial to anyone.

check out bzirc.pl that comes with bzflag. It would be easy to adapt that to connect to jabber im sure.
