If it's considered I'll spend some time cleaning up the edges and removing the anti-aliasing.

Hey, hey.
I havent worked on my design for two-three days now which usually is a good sign that its ready to be published. Additionally my holidays end today so I wouldnt have too much time for it anyways.
So, what do we have? We have something totally different from what you all expected (at least if you expected what I expected you to expect). We have something colorful which works best (if not solely) on black t-shirts. It was too hard for me to decide on one color, so I made seven different combinations - I'll elaborate some pros and cons later. Lets get concrete: Once more I decided on a 3-color print on the back and a smaller 1-color for the front, so the basic arrangement stays the same as on the first shirt. Here is what I imagine to be on the front:
www.phago.de/projects/shirt2/front.jpg
And here is what I have in mind for the back:
www.phago.de/projects/shirt2/back.jpg
(I would want the front logo to be 6cm/2,3inch in width and the back image 25cm/10inch, similar to the first shirt.)
As you can see this goes partly into the comic-, partly in the graffiti-direction. Instead of always the same tank renderings I wanted to try something less clear, less geometric. When I was told it doesnt have to be a "logo-shirt" this time and it could be more "art" I decided to go for this style (I was toying around with it earlier but was unsure).
Only four people have seen this before this post so I have no idea if it appeals to a broader audience or not, but the last thing I wanted to do is copy my own old work.
To make life a bit easier, I composed some more color variations:
http://www.phago.de/projects/shirt2/colors.jpg
Here are my thoughts about them:
- grey: Looks rather boring and isnt nowhere as vibrant, doesnt really fit the style either.
- purple: Mainly I included it only to get all tank colors together... I dont think many people would buy that one.
- red: Shouldnt be done due to blood association... tanks and red splashes just arent a good combination, I feel.
- orange: This is my personal favorite, but I think orange isnt a color for everyone.
- yellow: Contrast between white and yellow isnt good and feels different, not as vibrant either.
- green/blue: I really like those two and I think they're on par. I chose blue for the big thing because I think blue is what most people feel comfortable with.
Just to be clear, this is all vector, I went through it numerous times, I checked with a ruler, there shouldnt be any problem to print this.. if I overlooked something I would of course be willing to help and fix it. Here is another screenshot of the three layers separated:
www.phago.de/projects/shirt2/layers.jpg
And the SVG which I tested in Inkscape and Illustrator (CS3):
www.phago.de/projects/shirt2/shirt2_final.svg
Please note that I inserted a black rectangle to simulate the shirt's color and that we have front- and back-images in one file, of course these should be in two different SVGs, but for convience I put it in one here.
I'm waiting eagerly for opinions.

Here's mine. Or at least my first. I can't help but feel i can do a better one.

In case you're wondering, the thinner black lines around the tank icon are just greater than 1mm.
It can be made in many colours quickly, just a hue/saturation change. I think orange might be quite nice
edit
Here's a very similar variant - I actually prefer this. I've only coloured the central area, which accents the curved edge I added to the BZ tank logo.

http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/2118/tshirt2je4.png
And here's a montage of several different colours with that design:

I guess if you were to go for a black t-shirt, you'd want white lettering...

Satu's is absolutely awesome, as always. Anywho...

Too bad we can't attatch to this forum... I had to imageshack.us mine...
The Sleeve
http://img99.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... evejd0.png
and the front shirt pocket placement:
http://img171.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shirtwm0.png
and the back:
http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=backvy9.png
The back is supposed to be a remake of the list server. I can make a better one if I'm told it taken for consideration.
Edit: the "list server" for the back of the shirt is to be a re-enactment, or maybe even a real screenshot... of the list server, except list the "top bzflag main stay servers" and maybe even throw in a hidden non listed server (if such a popular unlisted server exists...) and the servers listed can be voted on by the community.
But it is a 'nod towards said servers as a way of saying "Thank You, you made the shirt!" 'Cause non of this would be possible if it weren't for the independant server owners who ALSO make the games possible and provide plaaces to play.

Okay, this shall probably be my final submission. I've tried to make a couple of changes in light of various feedback from people. Most majorly, the tank's edges are straight. I have also removed anti-aliasing.
I can run these off in any color you care to choose, so here is a big blue one, and a selection of smaller ones.
Single: http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/7075 ... ullix9.png
Colours: http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/4151/montagegp1.png
The three individual colours separated:
Black: http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4458 ... ackdk9.png
Colour 1: http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/6443 ... or1uz7.png
Colour 2: http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/2222 ... or2es2.png
I regret that I cannot create a vector version of the image in time for the competition closure, as my version of Illustrator is on a computer that I do not currently have access to.
Edit, the . seems to have been accidentally dropped from .org. I've fixed that for the big images and the colour separates, but for the montage, you'll have to imagine it
Yep, we spell colours differently in the UK!

I cleaned up the edges a bit, and removed the anti-aliasing. PSD with separate colors is available.
Tri-color, larger version: http://bzfusion.net/bzflag/shirts/round ... colors.jpg
Duo-color, larger version: http://bzfusion.net/bzflag/shirts/round ... colors.jpg
Smaller version of possible colors: http://bzfusion.net/bzflag/shirts/round ... olors4.jpg
You'll note that in the larger image, the "BZFlag.org" text doesn't flow off the edges of the circles, but in the color mockup it does... I didn't feel like fixing every single one, just picture it being there.
EDIT: And a pocket: http://bzfusion.net/bzflag/shirts/round ... pocket.jpg

Ok, here is my submission for the contest.
This is the front-side of the shirt: front
Of course, its allways hard to imagine, how it looks like on a real shirt.
So I projected the image on a blank, white shirt, and redrawed it with a graphic-tablet.
Here you go: shirt
To include the url, I want a semacode on the backside: semaback
note: if drawings look kinda bad, its because your monitor dont support anti-aliasing
edit: ok, i have to integrate the url so human eyes can read it.
so fortgetz about the semacode, the backside of the shirt should be just the letters: back
